Hi! I'm Ashley Anderson and I'm currently an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Previously, I received my Ph.D. in the Government Department at Harvard University in 2016, my M.A. in Government from Harvard in 2011, and my B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University in 2009.
Prior to accepting my tenure-track position, I served as a post-doctoral fellow in the Carolina Postdoctoral Program at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. I also served as a visiting fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute. In my time at Harvard, I served as a Graduate Student Associate for the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs as well as an affiliate of the Institute for Qualitative and Quantitative Social Sciences. Professionally, I also worked as a research assistant for the Dept. of Homeland Security.
Beyond academia, I enjoy reading, watching television, trying new restaurants and spending time with my family whenever I can.
